Hand-crafted timber frames

Building timber frames is our specialty.  During the lasts few years, we realized a lot of projects (also see the Products section) of different sizes, styles and with varied wood species.  Here is a quick view of the different steps of a timber frame production.

First step

Once we receive your approval for the project, the beams are ordered.  The beams then arrive at our workshop at which point the layout process begins.  Each beam is marked for cutting, and then re-measured by another framer to insure that the lines are precise.

Second step

After the layouts have been approved, the beams are then precisely cut, chiseled and drilled by our team.

Third step

We then assemble the beams in the shed that has been designed especially for this part of the work, to make sure that each piece fits properly into place.  Once everything is right,  tenons are drilled in that position so that every joint will be perfect once we will get to the job site for the raising.  The beams are now ready to go into finishing process.
